Day 6 (01 Jan 09): 西门町 + 华西街夜市 + 钱柜卡拉OK
We went back to 忠孝东路 to do more shopping before going to西门町. I managed to locate Jay Chou’s boutique but it was not open yet when I went so only took a picture outside the shop. I also went to the Hello Kitty Sweets café to take some pictures and also bought a piece of cheesecake to try. The cakes were all decorated with Hello Kitty shapes and they are all so cute. The cakes are not only beautiful but they are also delicious. We went to 西门町 after lunch. As I was pretty broke, didn’t buy much stuff at 西门町. Left the place at bout 7pm to proceed to华西街夜市. Anyway 华西街夜市 is the worst night market that I’ve been to cause there ain't much food there but they have exotic food such as snakes. As I am afraid of snakes, I hated that place. We decided to leave that place since not much stuff to eat or buy. We went back to忠孝东路 to sing KTV. We went to the 钱柜卡拉OK there. The price weren’t cheap so JC & Cheryl decided not to join since JC was having a sore throat and Cheryl decided to keep him company. So 4 of us went ahead for the KTV session. The KTV is quite different from the ones in Singapore. Place was pretty glam. Told my frens that it feels like a KTV “night club” cause got waitress wearing cheongsam to press lift for you and once you arrived at your floor, there is a waiter waiting to bring you to your KTV room. There is an attached toilet for every KTV room. This will ensure you won’t miss your song. The sound system was also fantastic and they even graded your singing with points after you finish your song. Not sure if its accurate but most of us scored above 80 points for the songs we sang. I feel it’s quite worth to sing there though it’s not cheap. We finished our KTV at bout 12.30am. I walked back to hotel with YY while EJO & Kevin took a cab back to theirs since they relocated to another hotel today.
