DF Graduation Bash (19 Dec 2008)

It's finally time for your DF Club final cum X'mas gathering @ Mono on 19 Dec 08. We started our planning few weeks back. Sharol helped to think of the theme call "DF Graduation Bash". Due to my busy work schedule, I've decided to stop organising the DF sessions from next year onwards. It's no longer that easy to coordinate especially when most of us are no longer working in AIA. We can still have our adhoc gathering sessions when everyone has the time but guess it's no more of such monthly events. It's been alot of hard work for me to keep this group together. It was definitely a good session this time cause almost everyone came and they even brought their frens, girlfrens, boyfrens, siblings etc. It was fun to end this year with such a great event. We had a mini singing contest and as expected, YY & Selina won the best Male & Female singer with their good singing skills. The purpose of the contest was just to make the event a little more exciting than our usual sessions. Many of them also made the effort to come dressed accordingly to our theme: Black &/or Glam. I've also managed to give out most of the X'mas presents in case I dun have the chance to see them in the coming week. I hope that they will like the presents they got from me. There was a little surprise for me from the gang. They gave me a Thank You card with a nice bouquet of flowers. I am touched by their kind thoughts. It feels good to know that they do appreciate my efforts for the past 1.5 years. It's been my great fortune to have such a great group of frens and I will always treasure the wonderful memories. Last but not the least, I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the members of DF Club and I sincerely hope that we can continue to maintain this bond of friendship. Fate has brought us together as a group and I hope it doesn't end with the last session of DF Club. Wishing all of you a Merry X'mas & may 2009 be a better year for everyone!

Magical Wonders: Pirates of the Caribbean (10 Dec 2008)

After months of practise, it was finally the day for our performance. We were at Victoria Theatre as early as 9.30am to rehearse & get ready. There were 2 shows, one at 3.30pm & the other at 7.30pm. Although I wasn't that happy about the teacher adding more people to our dance and messing it up, I still put in my best effort for both shows. Managed to put up a good show especially the 2nd one cause I've got quite few frens who went to give me their support. Told myself that I will give all my best for them. I've also got frens who can't make it but sent me message to encourage me. I truly appreciate their thoughtfulness. I am glad to get positive feedback from my frens bout my dance performance. Guess some of them were surprised that I can do hip hop dance. Anyway I would say our performance was a success and I sincerely thank all my frens who were there to support me or those who sent me sms to wish me luck. For those who missed it, you think I should do it again during the DF session next week????? No lah, maybe I will play you the video to see.

New Hair Cut (11 Dec 2008)

I have been pretty pissed with my hair cause it kept sticking out. Decided to find time today to look for my hair stylist to fix it. I had wanted to cut it short again after looking at Cat's hair but my stylist refuse to cut it for me. In the end, she ended up giving my hair more layers so that the sticking out part looks natural. She still kept the length for me cause she wanted me to keep it a little longer. Here is my new hair look.

Death (from "Faith into Action")

Death will come to each of us some day. We can die having fought hard for our beliefs and convictions, or we can die having failed to do so. Since the reality of death is the same in either case, isn't it far better that we set out on our journey toward the next existence in high spirits, with a bright smile on our faces, knowing that in everything we did, we did the very best we could, thrilling with the sense that "That was truly an interesting life"?

Love & Relationship (from "Faith into Action")

If you are neglecting things you should be doing, forgetting your purpose in life because of the relationship you're in, then you're on the wrong path. A healthy relationship is one in which two people encourage each other to reach their respective goals while sharing each other's hopes & dreams. A relationship should be a source of inspirition, invigoration & hope.

Faith into Action

I was looking for some stuff in my cabinet and I came across this book that I had for a long time but didn't have time to read. It is call "Faith into Action". This is a book of thoughts on selected topics by Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International. There are many meaningful passages in the book which I will start to share in my blog from today onwards. Hope this can also apply in your life.

I wanna BE HAPPIZ

Because I am an Aries, I tend to be very short-tempered. But at the same time, I do cool down pretty fast at times. I am not the type who will bear grudges unless I've accumulated the anger for a very long time. People always thought that I am always getting angry but thats is just being short-tempered. Like I always say, being angry means you still have feelings for the person. When I start to ignore the person or give them the hack care attitude, it means I have totally given up on him/her. I just recently realized that there is no point getting angry over anything or anyone. I am starting to learn how to lead a "cool" life or have the "can't be bothered" attitude. I finally understood that there is no point getting angry cause the person may not even know or care. Why should you make yourself angry? Anger dun make you happy. I am probably half way through my life journey and I jus wanna live the other half of it happier. From now onwards, nothing matters anymore. I wun bother what others think or say about me. I am just gonna live my life like my blog's nick: BE HAPPIZ.

Mamma Mia Musical in KL

Just found out over the weekend when I was in KL that Mamma Mia Musical be having their world tour in KL from 17 Dec 08 to 1 Jan 09. It's sad that Singapore is not part of their world tour destination. I really wanna watch the musical again cause it's really good. Now I really feel like going to KL to watch it. For those who are also a fan and wanna go KL to watch, here is the link to get tickets: http://www.thestar.com.my/mammamia/

Never Abandon HOPE

Life is filled with trials and tribulations. There may be times when, in the face of indescribable hardship, we feel like giving up. But we mustn't. No matter how bleak our situation appears, we must never abandon hope. In any struggle, it is up to us to resolve that we will not be defeated; it is up to us to be absolutely determined to win. Everything will open from there. Let us take another step forward, in a way that is true to ourselves, with a positive, cheerful state of mind.

What exactly is Courage?

Courage is the strength to live our lives the right way, to walk the right path. The most important kind of courage is the courage required to live a good life each day. For example, the courage not to be defeated by difficulties, to win over adversities, to study or work hard or to form and sustain good, solid friendships. This kind of courage we might even call perseverance, a virtue that directs our lives in a positive direction. This type of courage may not be flashy, but it is truly the most important.

Happy 40th Birthday to Stephen

Although I know he wun see this but I still wanna wish my ex-boyfriend Stephen a Happy 40th Birthday. I sincerely wish him lots of happiness and may he have a wonderful birthday this year. May all his wishes come true on this special day and be blessed with many blessings.

Thank You & Sorry

I'll like to say a BIG THANK YOU all my frens for all the friendship, support & tolerance especially those whom helped me through the past year. I also have to apologise to those whom had a hard time trying to meet my expectations as a fren. Dun need to worry anymore moving forward cause I straighten out my thoughts. From now on, I will learn to solve my own problems without having to trouble anyone. Thank you & sorry once again.

"Job" as a Friend

I am not sure if its too late but I jus realized that I dun know how to manage friends as good as I manage my bosses. Maybe I should say that I dun know how to be a friend. I feel that it's too stressful for me to manage friends especially the close ones. I was happy last year that I suddenly expanded my circle of friends but I now think it wasn't that good anyway. Maybe I never had so many friends so I really dun know how to manage them. Guess I am not suitable to have so many friends. It's just too stressful for me to manage them. Everything jus seem so emotional. I am both mentally & emotionally tired about all these stuff. Everything seem to hurt everyone's feelings. I try my best to be a good friend but seems like I am not doing a good job. Maybe I should jus quit from this "job" as a friend. Why some people have the hack care attitude while I always get angry over minor things. I am really envious of YY who can always manage his friends well. Maybe he has got the "dun bother so much" attitude which I dun have. Bro, teach me a few good tricks leh. Well, think it's time for me to give up on all these friendship stuff. I should be happy with jus my best fren Abby and few close frens such as Cat, YY & Chee Ming. Some extra friends to keep in touch with would be good but guess it wun hurt much not to have them. Now I jus wanna to do well in my job, make more money and have a good life. The rest ain't that important anymore.

That's What Friends Are For

I suddenly remember that there was this song that we used to sing when we were young. The song is call "That's What Friends are For". Here is part of the song lyrics which we will always be able to remember:
"Keep smiling keep shining
knowing you can always count on me for sure
That´s what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I´ll be on your side forever more
That´s what friends are for"

If you ask me now, I seriously do not know what friends are for and what kind of people do you call a friend nowadays??? If it is like what the lyrics say, then I think there are not many such people out there nowadays. I feel that friends now are just for companionship. These are the people that hangs around & go out with you when you are lonely. Not many can be around when you need help. I am someone with pretty high requirements for friends. Maybe that explains why I dun have many friends. As time passes by, I realize that all the requirements for friends are not that important anymore. I suppose so long your friend makes the effort to call or meet you at times, you can consider the person as a friend. I also do not understand why friends can scheme against one another. Life is simple so dun make things complicated. I have come to a stage where I feel that I should start to kan kai liao. You wanna be my friend, I will be your friend. If you are not interested in the friendship, then dun come bother me cause I've got no time for such nonsense. I dun accept "part-time" friendship. If you are my friend, then I expect "full" friendship. And for those I call sistas & brothers, I really do treat you as one. It's not jus a term I use for friends. But if I dun use this term on you, then you probably jus a normal friend to me.

Promises are not meant to be kept

I've come to realize recently that promises are not meant to be kept especially for those people who always say they will honour their promises. I never say such things before but I do always try to keep promises made to friends. Recently a fren has disappoint me many times by breaking the promises made. Maybe I am no longer an important fren to this person. Well, guess I am used to having people "piloting" me now. Seems like people dun find me important anymore. Maybe I should also start doing the same to others. Let them have a taste of their own doings. Anyway, a word of advice is that you should not over-promise your frens if you dun know if you can fulfill the promise. Dun worry, I jus wanna say my piece in my blog. I am not gonna be affected by these minor issues anymore. I finally understand that there is no point getting myself angry with such worthless people. There are still frens out there who are worthy for my attention.

KL Trip 29-30 Nov 08

Finally back in KL after my last visit in Sept 07. It was a short visit cause our purpose was to shop & eat. My travel kakis this time are Abby, Philip & Cat. Must first say a BIG THANK YOU to Philip who drove us safely from S'pore to KL & back. None of us could drive so we would have to trouble him. He had to resist the temptation to sleep while some of us already dozing off in the car. We left S'pore on Saturday morning but got hit with traffic jam at Woodlands checkpoint. Decided to skip breakfast in JB and proceed straight to KL. We stopped halfway to have brunch at A&W. We were all looking forward to having waffle and were sad to find out that they didn't have that there. We ended up eating fried chicken and cold waffle pieces put in a mug. Well, at least we enjoyed the root beer. Arrived in KL at bout 12+. We went straight to Pavillion to shop after checking in. I managed to buy quite some stuff from there cause there is sale everywhere. Even Giordano Concept is having 50% off. Me bought the most stuff from there: 2 shirts, 1 shorts & 1 belt. Another of my fav store is definitely the Pandini Concept Store. I didn't get alot of stuff there this time cause not all designs are nice. Got a shirt, a vest & some accessories there and I am glad that they are also having 20% off. After shopping in Pavillion, we went over to Low Yat Plaza to sing KTV @ Red Box KTV. We were there from 8pm to 11pm and our package is KTV + dinner. Cost is about S$25 and the food is quite good. The songs are also very up to date. After KTV, we went to Jalan Alor to tabao some food back to eat in hotel. I never fail to visit Jalan Alor on all my KL trips cause the food there is yummy. I ate so much till I still feel full when I woke up the next morning. The next day is a short day cause we were due to make our way back to S'pore at bout 2pm. Went over to Sungei Wang for some last minute shopping and had our lunch at Nandos. Left KL at about 2.30pm. Kenna a jam at the S'pore checkpoint on our way back. We were stuck there for about 1hr. It was about 9pm when I got home. It was a short but fruitful trip for me. It was also a good opportunity for me to travel with Abby, Philip & Cat. Our last trip was to Tokyo in March. I remembered that we always had alot of fun travelling to Japan & Hong Kong cause we all share the same passion for fashion & food. Looking forward to my next trip: TAIWAN. More food & shopping....

Damn it, jus get off my back!

I've been having people bugging me over some issues recently. Instead of empathising with that person's situation, why dun you put yourself in my shoes? Do I deserve all these for being a helpful fren? Dun I have the right to be disappointed? Maybe it seems like I am being a big bully. So frens out there, do me a big favour, stay off my back when it comes to issues concerning that person. It's between both of us. No one is in the position to interfere. You are making things worse by poking your nose into this and it's making me frustrated. I only believe what I saw so if you think you are innocent, then proof it.

Making Wild Guesses

I know alot of you have been trying to guess who is the guy I've been talking about in my blog. Anyway, stop making wild guesses cause it's not who you think it is. If I can tell, I would have wrote his name in my blog. There is no need for you to know who he is cause you may not even know him as a fren. My purpose of writing it in my blog is just to warm girls to be careful of such men out there. And if he reads my blog, for him to know if the things he had done or doing is right or wrong.

Movida 2nd Anniversary (25 Nov 08)

Movida is the 2nd in St James to celebrate their anniversary. Unfortunately, it is also on a weekday so not many can make it. I went with Sharol & her fren Lydia. We arrived at bout 7.30pm and the place was already packed. There was queue building near the entrance and we realized it was for the food. They only had a pathetic small area serving food. As we were queuing for the food, one of the managers told us that there would be waiters serving food around in Movida so we decided to give up on the queuing up and just wait for food to come around. We went to the bar counter to get some drinks. After all that was our main purpose of going there. Found a small area near the side exit to stand and enjoy our drinks. We also managed to grab some food from the waiters who were serving food around. The best food I had was the Chocolate Brownie. Anyway the catering was from Kriston so guess food should be pretty good. As it was pretty packed, we decided to leave at bout 9pm after stuffing our stomach with food & drinks. The place wasn't that fun but I did had alot of fun with the 2 ladies. We even invited Lydia to our DF Graduation Bash. There is still the Powerhouse & Boiler Room anniversary which have not been held so am looking forward to attending both.

Lasik on 24 Nov 2008

I have finally decided to go for lasik to correct my short-sightedness & astigmatism. I went for an evaluation on 20 Nov and made an appointment to do the operation on 24 Nov. Total damage to my account for the ops was about $2,700.00. It burnt a big hole in my savings but now I feel that every cent is worth it. I was a bit nervous when waiting for the ops yesterday. Had to call my best fren Abby to come accompany me home. When I stepped into the operating theatre, I was not given any chance to be nervous. They immediately put me on the bed, numbed my cornea and started with the ops. I had opted for Intralase to open the flap for my cornea so they used laser to cut open the flap. I didn't feel any pain during the ops but I could feel something when they opened the flap. I was pretty calm by the time they did my left eye. The whole process took about 15mins. I was supposed to feel slight burning sensation & tearing after 30mins but I didn't feel anything until I reached home which was more than an hour later. Abby & her husband Philip were very nice to come picked me up and sent me home. I realized that I could go home after my ops but they still came. Anyway, they told me I looked like Ultraman with the plastic protective covers on my eyes. Upon reaching home, I immediately took a bath and went to bed cause the tearing was unbearable. I was given a sleeping pill so it wasn't tough to get to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I could see quite clearly. Went in for a check up in the morning before going to work in the afternoon. My eyes are taking the ops quite well cause I do not have major problems except for some red patches on my eyeball which will go away. Now its alot of aftercare procedures to follow to ensure a speedy & full recovery. I am happy to be able to see the world clearly again without using any glasses or contact lenses after 21 years.

Bintan Trip 22-23 Nov 2008

Yes, you are right. We went back to Bintan for a short break again after 5 months. Well, upon numerous request from Edy & Kit, I decided to organise another session. Lesser people this time cause many couldn't make it. The main purpose for this trip besides taking a short break is the play the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) which we missed out on the last trip. That was our first activity after checking in to the villa at Nirwana Gardens. Edy, Chi Ing, Kit & me went for the activity. We had alot of fun cause it was much more exciting than Go-Kart. Kit was driving most of the times because of the uneven tracks but I did get to drive it for a short period of time and it was pretty cool. It's easier to control than Go-Kart. We even went through all the muddy areas without slowing down. All of us ended up with mud mask on our body. We even drank a bit of muddy water. My only advice is when you wanna participate in this activity: wear clothes & even swimsuit or underwear that you are ready to throw away cause its very difficult to wash them with all the mud. I threw away my tshirt and had a hard time washing my shorts. Another good thing about the trip is the weather. The sun was out most of the time so I managed to get a pretty good tan. We also had fun playing frisbee by the beach and a nice dip in the pool. Overall the trip was fun except that I wasn't exactly sure how many people I went with. Sometimes it feels like 6 of us, sometimes it feels like 4. Well, it doesn't really matter cause I've enjoyed the trip anyway.

FYI, Kit & Chi Ing were both wearing white tshirts.

Thank You, Readers

I must say a big thank you to the readers of my blog. Thank you for your support and also time & effort taken to read it whenever there is an update. I always feel that blog is a good source for me to vent my frustrations. This has always been my hobby since I had problems last year. I pen down alot of stuff that I cannot tell frens in my blog. This is also where I can share my concerns & problems. Alot of my frens who have no time to meet me checks out my conditions through my blog. Anyway I just wanna tell my frens that you dun have to worry too much about me. I'll be okay after venting my frustrations. Like I always say, only the guilty parties will think the blog is about them. If you don't feel guilty, you won't even think that I am writing about you.

Singing

I have had alot of interest in singing since young. Maybe this is because I follow my parents to getai every year. Singing is like part of my life. Ever since KTV became a common activity for Singaporeans, I've "investing" alot of money in it. Fortunately, I had many common friends who likes to sing too. We always sing together so we can help spot one another's problem and help correct them. With help from some friends, my singing has improved tremendously over the years. But I still lack the professional standard. Now I realize that singing is to help me relax. Why do I always have to make myself so stressful by trying to sing a song well? Why get worried when you dun sing as well as others? Relax lah. There is no big deal about it cause it's not a competition. I've decided that I shall sing the songs I like rather than the songs I am good in when I go KTV next time. Who cares if I can sing it well or not. It's for leisure only. I pay money to enjoy myself and not stress myself.

Talk Lesser will make you Happier

Today, I actually think that I have a very "big" mouth. I finally realize that sometimes it's good to keep your mouth shut. If people dun like your comments, then dun comment. If you wanna think, think softly and not aloud. I always believe that it's fair for people to suan me since I always suan them. But today I realize it's not leh. People dun seem to be happy when I give my comments. This is not my first encounter liao. I kenna attitude from people but still have entertain them when they suan me. Maybe I am just being too kind. Alot always think that Aries are the type who gets angry fast & also cool down fast so it's ok to make an Aries angry. He/she will get over it and be friend with you again. I try not to be too childish at times but you just cannot help being angry with yourself for being so useless. You need to act mature so you have make your calm down and not throw your temper. I have tame down a bit for the past few years. My style few years back is if a person makes me angry, I will just take my leave regardless of what others think. Now you have to give other friends face. Friends always say that I very fierce but they still take advantage of me. I never really get angry no matter how they laugh at me but that doesn't mean I dun have pride. I dun appreciate if you take my pride for granted. Maybe I am not suitable to have friends since alot cannot take it when I suan them and I also dun like people to take me for granted. Friends are important to me but I really dun know if I am that important to them as what they claimed. Alternatively, I should just change my talkative character and keep my mouth shut next time. The lesser you talk, the lesser mistakes you make, the happier you are. This is the conclusion I get from the lesson learnt today.

Lesson Learnt

When I was having a relationship with my ex-boyfriend, my best fren ever told me that I've changed alot since I fell in love with him. I became another person that she could not recognise. I was no longer the Jenny she knew. I didn't realize that until our relationship was having problems. I finally realized that I've changed alot for him and also neglected my frens. It's seems like this happens to alot of couples out there. Most individuals are willing to change for the person they love and they didn't realize that the changes were not positive changes. I see that in few of my frens now. One who enjoys freedom is willing to be controlled by his partner. Another became very indecisive and everything she has to check with partner first. Since they are still at their honeymoon period, they probably won't realize the change. As frens, we can actually feel the difference. Maybe because their partner become their priority in life now. Well, we can't blame them since they are probably going to spent the rest of their life with their partner so need to treasure the relationship. I guess its my retribution that I encounter such frens now. I have to pay for neglecting my best fren last time. I can now understand how she feels. I am lucky that she was still there to support me when I had problems. One thing I learnt is that I should reflect on myself if I do enter into another relationship in future. I think we should all learn to balance our life. Frens can be forever too and they are just as important. Not everyone are so blessed like me. Some frens may just give up on you.

Looking Back....

Looking back at all the unhappy things that happened, I think it's about time for me to leave them all behind and move on with my life. I've learnt & grown alot for the past 2 years. Many many things had happened and words cannot describe all. There were sad memories but there were also happy ones. As an optimistic person, I decided to leave behind the sad ones and just keep the good ones. Have I regretted my decisions? No, I never regretted anything I did for the past 2 years. My only regrets were the people that were hurt by my immature behaviours or actions. I dare not say that I have grown to be more mature but all these have changed my thinking. I now look at things differently. Maybe this is what you call mid-life crisis. It took me 31 years to realize what kind of person I am and what kind of life I wanna have. There are many people that I should also thank. It is them who "forced" me to become what I am today. I also realized that hating a person will not make you happy. The person you hate will also not suffer because of your hatred. I always believe in retribution. All will be punished for their sins. It's a matter of when their retribution will come. I shall now move on and wait to see those who have done me wrong to get their retributions. I shall also await my retribution for the sins I have committed.

My new Sony Ericsson C905

I think many of you know that I had wanted to get Samsung Innov8 for my new handphone but when I went to the shop today to get it, I was convinced by the staff to buy Sony Ericsson C905. With 8.1 megapixel camera, it is just as good as Samsung. What made me bought this phone was because of the Matt finishing. I am not a fan of phones with glossy finishing as my fingers tend to leave alot of fingerprints. When I look at the Matt finishing of SE C905, I fell in love with it. After comparing the specs, it seems like SE C905 was better & cheaper. When the staff told me that the phone only launched yesterday and the black one was the last piece, I simply couldn't resist the temptation to buy it. Anyway I also trusted SE cause my previous SE phones didn't give me any major problems. Now I am happily updating information on my phone. The only nightmare I realize was this phone do NOT have a front camera for video calls. I just have to convince myself that I hardly make video calls. Hope this phone dun disappoint me.

Oops! He did it AGAIN!!!

Remember the guy I was talking about in my blog. The one whom I think is having a relationship with a married colleague. I've got some new juicy news to update. I just found out that he is after another married woman. Well, this girl is not bad looking lah. Tall, slim, long hair, big eyes BUT she is MARRIED. She is also my ex-colleague. Such coincidence and I actually get along quite well with her. I can see that he is interested to sian her lah. Well if the girl dun mind and wanna have some fun, why not??? Let's just hope she wun end up getting too serious which may result in a divorce. Guys out there, if you wanna sian girls, I think it's not advisable for you to go after a married woman lah. So think carefully before you take action. Anyway this guy is a Leo so I guess he feels good to be able to "conquer" all the pretty ladies out there.

Aries, Leo & Saggi

My horoscope shifu YY quoted me a very good example bout these 3 horoscopes. For example, if all 3 of them are generals and they did something that impressed their army, this is what they expect:
Aries: He expect his army to praise him for his impressive action.
Leo: He wants to be able to control to army using the respect gained.
Saggi: He wants to his army to praise, respect & also be able to control them.
These 3 are the "fire" in the 12 horoscopes and you can see that Saggi is much more scarier than the other 2. Aries only asked for praise, Leo asked for control & Saggi wants everything. Saggi people may look very mild on the outside but actually their brains work faster than anyone else. I now learn to be more careful when dealing with Saggis.
I've learnt alot about the characters of the different horoscopes from YY. Good about this is that you can roughly analyse the character of a person by looking at his/her horoscope and learn to manage them. Bad thing is you tend to "label" a person based on their horoscope regardless of whether their character is like that. For me who knows quite a bit, I tend to do that. I am already telling frens that I will probably avoid some horoscope when looking for partner in future. Hmmn, guess it not so good to know so much afterall.

Congrats to Dennis & Joyce

Yupz, I attended another wedding on 11 Nov 08. Dennis is one of my colleague in my new job. His wedding dinner was at Meritus Mandarin. His wedding dinner is so far the best I've attended. He had their courtship process as well as how he propose to Joyce put into a comic. It was really interesting & funny. I had so much fun watching it. Was telling another colleague that they should put it into a DVD and give it to guest as souvenir. Anyway I wanna thank Dennis for the invitation and I sincerely wish him a wonderful & happy marriage.

Congratulations to Kar Seng & Angeline

I would like to offer my heartiest CONGRATULATIONS to Kar Seng & Angeline who had their wedding on 9 Nov 08. I've been frens with Kar Seng for almost 10 years and I've seen them develop from courtship to marriage. I am really glad to see this good fren of mine settling down. I wish them a blissful marriage and forever so loving & happy. I hope to also see them have kids soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ABBY!!!

This post is specially dedicated to my best friend aka sista Abby. I wanna wish her Happy Birthday & may all her wishes come true on this special day. May happiness & good fortune be with her always. I wish to also thank her for being my fren for the past 15 years. Thank you for being there whenever I needed someone to talk to especially during my toughest times. Though we may both be leading different type of lifestyles now (she is happily married and I am still looking) but we never fail to maintain our friendship. There were many ups & downs but I am glad that we are still holding on to the bond. I sincerely hope that our friendship will continue for many more 15 years. Maybe we can still go shopping in Hong Kong or Japan when we are 60 years old. Haha......

TRUST???

About 2 hrs ago, I was chatting with a fren on msn and I asked him a question. I asked if he thought I am someone who trust frens easily and his answer was yes. He said that its both good & bad when you trust someone easily. Good is frens will also accord you with the same trust and bad is they tend to take advantage of your trust. He said that it was one of my good points and I am also "real" to my frens. Those whom I am not real to are not really my frens. Recently I am starting to loose faith in my trust in frens. I realize that many of them took advantage of my trust. I've got many frens whom I trusted but only to realize what they told me were a pack of lies. I even trusted frens whom others dun trust. Maybe I am being too naive or gullible. Many of them betrayed my trust. I have decided that if you want my trust, you should earn it. I will not easily trust frens anymore. I dun even care whether you wanna trust me or not. I just want to protect myself from bring hurt from now onwards.

Birthday Celebration for ABBY!!!

It's one of the most important occasion of the year again! It's my best fren Abby's birthday. She has finally decided to join me in the group of 31. Anyway she already received her birthday present from us some time back cause she wanted a pair of Gucci sunglasses which I managed to get a discount for it. She bought us dinner @ Japanese Gourmet Town. I regretted recommending them there cause the service there sucks. Will think twice before going there again though the food is good. As we were in VivoCity, I could only get her cake from Bakerzin. I know she love chocolate so obviously we got her a chocolate cake. After dinner, we shop around there before going to Keppel Marina for snacks & drinks. We also took this chance to plan for our KL trip during end of the month. The place is quite nice so took some pix as well which I will load into my facebook when I am free.

James Bond Movie: Quantum of Solace

I wasn't really a fan of James Bond movie but since I've got some frens who wanted to watch it, I went with them to catch it yesterday night. I did not watch the last movie so didn't really know what happened to James Bond (by Daniel Craig). But the movie was quite good cause I could see more effort put in by the actors. There wasn't much gadgets in this part but there were alot of fighting scenes by James Bond. This movie made James Bond look like a real hero. He could fight, drive a car, boat & even plane well. There were also alot of high-tech stuff which I find very amazing. I love the Aston Martin car he drive in the movie and also the SE phone he used. Daniel Craig is definitely not the most gook looking Bond but he is definitely the toughest of them all. He can be also quite charming at times. I would have to say he did a good job in this movie.

Mellben Seafood @ AMK

As we had some Indonesia colleagues in town, our home office decide to host a dinner for them at Mellben Seafood located in AMK. I've heard of this place for quite some time since my ex-boss always go there. Yesterday was the 1st time I went there and the food is yummy. The Crap Bee Hoon was their signature dish and it was really good. Other dishes which I thought was good are: Playboy Chicken & Butter Prawns. In fact, I felt that the Butter Prawns taste even better than the Crab Bee Hoon. If you are keen to go there and try, here is the address:
Mellben Seafood

New Suit

I normally dress in suits when I have overseas colleagues coming in to Singapore for training. I had 7 of them coming from Indonesia from 5-7 Nov so as usual, I went to work in my suit. But I only 1 set of suit which I bought from G2000 using the gift vouchers I got from AIA colleagues as a farewell gift. Lucky I had another set of suit to standby BUT I didn't buy this. Take a good look at it and some of you may even find it familiar. Did you manage to guess it? Yupz, this is the CSC uniform which was given to me by my ex-boss when one of the staff resigned and returned the uniform. Since the design & cut is so nice, I decided to recycle it. What I did to make it look a bit different was to change the buttons. Manage to find matching ones @ People's Park. And I actually managed to squeeze into the ones from Precious when I accidentally took the wrong set home. Seriously didn't realize that I was that slim now. Haha, I am glad to be able to slim down and look better in clothes.

No Expectation = No Disappointment

I was talking about how you should maintain your friendship in my blog yesterday. Think maybe I am in the wrong. Why? Because my expectations for frens are too high. YY used to tell me that I should not expect frens to treat me that same way I treated them. I am the type who will go all way out to help frens when they need me. Everything is about Yi Qi and even my mom feels that frens are more important in my life. I hardly will reject fren's invitation to meet so long it doesn't clash with another appointment. I give them prompt responses when they asked me something. And I expect my frens to treat me the same way. I used to get very angry when I dun get the same type of response. After some talks with YY, I was able to let loose a bit. I dun take it so hard now when my frens decline or didn't even respond to my dates. But I still set certain expectations and get disappointed or angry with them. I think that I am still not doing a good job. I shouldn't even have any expectations for them. It's true that if you do not have any expectations, you will not feel any disappointment. Well, guess I'll be happier this way.
Not only will I no longer have expectations for frens, I will also change my way of handling frens. In the past, I will go all out to help frens even though I am unhappy with the person and expect the same from them. Now I will look at the way frens treat me and return them with the same attitude. If you are not there when I needed you, then dun expect me to be there when you need me.
Sometimes it's all not so good to be helpful. You may even end up messing things up and putting yourself in a difficult position. I may even end up hurting my frens so think it's better for me to stay away from trouble now. I always try and give advices when frens talk to me bout their problems and sometimes these advices dun work and frens end up getting hurt. Maybe I should be like some frens who mainly listens to the problems but only give you some general advices. Maybe they are just trying to be politically correct to frens. I am the type who always speak my mind and I can't help if my opinions dun work.
Great, think now I should talk less & listen more. Most important of all is to stay away from trouble. Always remember that no expectations = no disappontment.

Sold my Nokia N95

Oops, forgot to update that I sold my Nokia N95 more than a week ago. Manage to fetch a price of $330. Am I selling cause I am getting a new phone? Not really. I love this phone cause the functions are good. Had to sell it cause I dropped it twice and it was getting a bit crappy. I don't really believe in repairing it. Decided to sell while it's still look normal and can fetch a good price. Anyway I intend to get the new Samsung Innov8 but still got wait another week cause contract not due yet. For now, I am using my SE K800. I've got frens who laugh at me for still using that phone cause it's a pretty old model. But there is one very good thing bout this phone. No matter how you dropped it, it will still work. Anyway I am counting down the number of days to getting my new phone. Will update in my blog once I get it.

I have CHANGED

Been providing alot of consultant service to frens lately and realize that my mindset has totally changed over the past 1 year. I used to be pretty contented with I had. Never thought of fighting for more. A happy-go-lucky person who puts in 100% effort in the things she do. After what I went through last year, I started to change. I realize that no point remaining where I was. I am past 30 and must start to work hard to improve myself. In the 2nd half of this year, the 1st thing I did was to loose weight and I managed to shed 7kg of fats. A slimmer body also gives you more confidence cause you look better in clothes. The next thing I did was to take up a new job. It was something that I've never done before but with my frens' encouragement, I decided to give it a try. I am doing pretty well in the job now. The next thing that I will do is if I ever fall a guy who is attached again, I will go all out to fight for him. So long I am confident that the guy likes me more, I will never give up. I finally understand that I have to fight for my happiness regardless of what people thinks. I've some frens with traditional thinking and they think this is not right. I dun really care what is right or wrong cause nobody is gonna pity you if you choose to give up. So why not jus try your best to fight for it and even if you loose the battle, you know you've tried your best. I've also started to unleash the wild side of me which many frens have never seen. They didn't realize that I can be so open & wild at times. Well, I just feel that life is short so dun think so much & jus be HAPPY.

How IMPORTANT are Friends to You???

I guess different people has different priorities in life. For me, frens are 1st, love is 2nd & family is 3rd. I've got frens who told me that love is the most important thing in their life. That means that so long they have a partner, others dun really matter. But I've also got many frens who put frens as their priority jus like me. How do you know if frens are important to you? I've seen some only talk but no action. Everytime say frens are important but when they've got bf/gf, it's the usual disappearing act.
There are many factors to maintain a strong bond between frens. One important factor is TRUST. I think as frens, there should always be mutual trust. I personally hate people who doubt me whether at home, at work or with my frens/boyfren. If this person is your best fren, then you should know each other long enough to earn that trust. If you cannot even trust your fren, then your friendship is no longer valuable. You should not even consider the person as your fren. He/she should be jus an acquaintance.
Recently I've downgraded some of frens to that level. Some is because I cannot see their sincerity in wanting to be my fren. How do you see if ur frens are this type? These are the ones who only contact you when they need your help and always not available when you ask them out. Another type are those who dun make an effort to keep in touch with you and expect you to shower them lots of attention. Both parties play an important part in friendship so both have to make effort to keep in touch. There is no such thing as only one party showing concern. The worse type that I cannot tolerate are those who always ask you out when they are unattached. Once they have a bf/gf, you become a backup. Meaning to say that they will only date you out when their partners are unavailable. Some even date you out and when they realize their partner is free to meet them, they cancel their date with you. These people are normally automatically written off from my fren list. I can still tolerate frens who auto-pilot me because they are too lazy or tired but those who auto-pilot me because they prefer to meet their bf/gf, I have no threshold for them.
I always believe that friendship should not be easily affected. There are cases of frens falling out because they fall for the same gal/guy. I strongly believe that there is nothing wrong with falling for the same person. This shows that your taste is good cause your fren also like the same person. It is still ultimately up to the person to choose who he/she wanna be with. No point ruining your friendship because of that. Be cool about it, its better to have 2 frens than 2 enemies if you really loose the gal/guy to ur fren. Give them ur blessings as a fren. I am sure your frens would be impressed with this action.
I used to be a pretty lousy fren and I dun make an effort to keep in touch with them. Not because I have a bf but because I am too lazy. I dun like to talk on phone too much and I am not good with sms so its not easy to keep in touch. Now that I have a lappy, I can chat with frens via msn. Another good thing is some of my frens have got blogs so I keep myself updated by reading them. I've some frens who do the same for me. We are not frequently in touch but they are still updated with my news. I appreciate those who make an effort everyday to check out my blog. A BIG THANK YOU to them. Some even sms me when they find out that I am down. I even receive complaints from them when I dun have time to update my blog.
So people out there, if you truly treasure ur frens, then put in more effort to keep in touch with them.

Busy Long Deepavali Weekend

It was a long weekend for those of us who are working cause Deepavali happens to fall on Monday so that means we dun need to work for 3 consecutive days from 25-27 Oct . Since it is gonna be a long weekend, thought I will bring my office lappy home to do some work. But I didn't even take it out from the bag for the whole weekend. I was out having dinner with Kit on Friday. On Saturday, I had dance class in the morning, went to run some errands in Orchard in the afternoon and follow by dinner & KTV with Mycle @ Downtown East. For Sunday, had a BBQ @ Changi beach with some frens and we continue the night with bowling & KTV. By Monday, I was so tired and slept till 5pm. Didn't manage to do much since it was already evening time when I woke up. Guess I should plan my weekends first before deciding to bring my lappy home next time. I wasted all my energy carrying it back.

Guys, it's time to GROW UP!!!!

I dun know why but it seems like many of my guy frens are pretty childish. For example, a guy fren suddenly decided to show me the speed of his car when I was complimenting another fren's car. His sudden pick up of speed caused me to knock my head and instead of being apologetic, he put the blame on me not putting on my seat belt. To begin with, I didn't even say that his car was not good, I was only trying to tell him how good my fren's car is so there is no need for him to show off his car. I personally think that it was a very childish act of his. You can say that I am being petty but I will definitely think twice before sitting in his car again in future.
Another case would be a fren who fell out with his best fren because he thought his best fren was after the girl he like. He didn't ask his fren and just assume cause the guy was going out frequently with the girl. The girl had a boyfriend and she didn't even say she like either one of these 2 guys. It's up to the girl to decide who she wants to go out with. Why can't he sit down and talk to his best fren to find out the truth instead of just assuming? Even if it's really true that the best fren was also after the girl, then it should be a fair competition between both of them. At the end of the day, it's up to the girl to decide and chose the man she likes. Even if he makes his best fren stay away from the girl, she may not like him. She may even have a bad impression of him since he fell out with best fren because of her.
The guys that I've mentioned are all younger than me but I am wondering if those older ones will manage things differently? I think age is not the issue here. It's your mentality. I've got frens who are younger but with mature thinking. Guys, think it's time to grow up and stop all your immature acts. Girls are not going to be impressed with that. What they need is a mature man who can take care of them and not one who behaves like a childish spoilt brat.

When will He ever Learn & Change???

I hope many of you still remember the guy that I always talk about in my blog. The one who hurt me deeply. The one who taught me a valuable lesson in my life. Anyway if you are thinking that I still cannot forget him or still have anything to do with him, you are wrong. Cause I dun have and do NOT want to have anything to do with him again in this life after realizing what sort of person he is. As you can read from my earlier blogs, he is an asshole who simply made use of me to help him in his work. I heard that he is doing the same thing again. This time his target is a married woman. Does ruining other people's marriage or relationship make him a happier man? Why can't he rely on his own ability to do well in his career. Why didn't he learn from his mistakes? Well I also think that the girl is not smart too cause she is putting her marriage at risk because of an asshole. She knows that he is attached and he even knows her husband. To make things worse, they are colleagues. Does it make you feel good to have other colleagues thinking that both of you is having a relationship? There is a saying that you shouldn't shit where you eat. This is exactly what I meant. Why get involve with your colleague if you are not serious about it. He has already got a girlfriend so why can't he jus leave other women alone. Besides this, I think he is also having other flings outside. I pity his girlfriend, maybe she think that she has control over this man but I think she is wrong. Ladies, if you think you have a goody man as a boyfriend or husband, watch it cause they may not be what they are. Recently, I realize that men who always give people a bad boy impression are actually good in nature. It's actually those who has a goody & nice man look that has got a wild nature. They are usually the ones who will cheat behind their partner's back. Anyway majority of the men population out there cheats lah. Those who dun consist of a small population and some are gays. So it's always good for a woman to be independent and dun depend on your man cause you never know when you will loose him to another woman.

Launch of Jay Chou new album 魔杰座 on 15 Oct 08

After 9mths of wait, Jay Chou's new album is finally launched on 15 Oct 08. As I had pre-ordered it earlier, managed to collect it on the day itself. There was a delay in the launching cause all his songs were leaked out and put on the Internet for download before it even went on sale. They had to to rename all the songs and changed the album cover due to this. I still prefer the original one which he dressed as a joker. Anyway I like most of the songs in his new album. My favourite would be 說好的幸福呢. As usual, he would have some slow sentimental songs in his album besides all the Jay flavour songs. The last album was the song 彩虹 and this one is the song 說好的幸福呢. This song can really touch your heart when you hear it. He sang the song with so much feelings that I feel like crying when I hear it. The 2 songs seem to link, it's like he was singing it for the same person. It sound like there is a story behind it. Well, I've loaded the album on my blog and so hope you enjoy listening to it while reading my blog. Let's look forward to many more good songs from Jay Chou.

Goodbye to my Nokia N95

As many of frens know, I dropped my N95 twice recently and since then it's been giving me problems. It always hang and calls can just cut off suddenly. I am not a very patient person and I cannot bear with all the hanging of the phone. Decided that I am gonna get a new phone since I've been eyeing the Samsung Innov 8 ever since Edy bought it. My contract is not due till Nov so cannot get a new phone yet but decided to sell of my N95 first before the value drops. Sai Kit brought me to a shop in Bugis village to sell it and manage to fetch price of $330. Trade in value in the market is only $300 so at least I got $30 more. I quite like this phone cause it's user friendly. If not for all the problems, I probably won't sell it away. Now I am using my old phone SE K800 which is not so fragile. I've gotten use to using Nokia so having problems adapting back to using K800. Haiz, need to bear with it for another 3 weeks before I can get my new phone.

Shop, Eat & KTV in JB (18 October 2008)

Went with some frens to JB on 18 Oct. Went there to do some shopping & also eat some cheap & good food. I managed to get my fav otah bread from Lavender bakery. I also bought myself 2 pairs of cheap heels in white & pink colour. Also got some nice working clothes from Padini. The clothes have got good materials & nice cuts plus prices are cheaper than G2000 here. Will get more the next time I am there. Another happy thing about this trip is my fav stall selling youtiao with otah filling is back @ City Square. I haven eaten it for a long long time since it relocated. Even YY & Cheryl say its nice after we ate it. After all the shopping, we decided to go sing ktv. Went to Neway @ City Square and we paid M$40++ for 3hrs of ktv with buffet dinner. The price is really worth cause the food is not too bad. It was a fruitful JB trip this time for me.

Busy Jenny

Been super busy with work cause kept having overseas colleagues coming to S'pore for training so I've got to prepare their itinerary and arrange their training sessions. I know many of frens have been reading my blog but dun seem to have any updates. I am really sorry about it so now taking this Deepavali to update as many as I can so that its up to date. My job is starting to get busy since I am already over the "honeymoon" period. I've been working late nights and even bring work home to do over the weekend. It's definitely a much busier job compare to AIA but I feel happier here. I get much more job satisfaction and I am making use of more skills. I can also see that my bosses appreciate my hard work. I am glad that my ex-boss encourage me to take on this new challenge cause she believe that I can do better. I never thought that I can do beyond what I was doing in AIA. It was already an advancement for me then. For this new job, I can make full use of the good organising skills that I have. As we are still short-handed, I've got to also help my other colleagues with their stuff. The culture here is also better than AIA. It's easier for me to get help from colleagues of other depts. I already gotten to know many colleagues in my 1.5mths there. Life is truly Great here. I've also gotten to know many overseas colleagues since they've been visiting S'pore for trainings. I told many people that although I am busier in my new job but I am truly happy. I hope to be able to do well in my career and become a successful person.

New Hair Style (19 October 2008)

Wondering if I had done some drastic change to my hair style again??? Dun worry, I just went to rebond my hair lah. The length was getting a bit awkward and it was sticky out behind so decided to get it rebonded so it doesn't look that messy. It cost me $200 and 3hrs to do it. My hair did look better after that. At least now I dun look like Tweety Bird with the thick hair & small body. It's also easier easier for me to manage it in the morning when I am in the hurry to go to work. See if you can spot any difference. Hee.....

Dinner with old friends (16 October 2008)

Went over to my ex-office to visit some frens and we decided to have dinner together. I've got this fren who was always busy and it's a rare chance for him to have dinner with us. I initially had another appt but decided to postpone it so that I can have dinner with them. We went to Old Airport Road hawker centre to eat wanton noodle. Though its not as nice as the one at Hong Lim but it was an enjoyable session. It's really great to be able to have dinner with some old frens at times.

Shopping @ our fav store in Golden Mile

There was this shop located in Golden Mile that was introduce to me last year by my good pal Sai Kit. They sell lots of branded stuff that were directly imported from overseas at very cheap prices. The stuff are mostly factory rejects or off season clothes so the designs & sizes are limited. Most of the time, I only can get skinny jeans or tshirts from there. I brought some frens there too. YY did manage to have some good buys from there. He got some nice shirts, tshirts, jeans & even a pair of Armani shoes there. For me, I recently got this pair of City of God jeans which is so gorgeous. It was an only pair there and it happens to be my size. I didn't wanna to get it initially cause it was boot cut design but since it was an only pair, I decided to buy & get it altered to skinny cut. The unique thing about it is the material. It is grey denim material with some sort of silver paint splattered on some areas of it. Many of my frens who saw it say that it's nice too. It only cost me $30. You can also get brands such as Zara, River Island, Beams Boy, CDG there. Dun ask me if these stuff are authentic cause I really dun know and dun care. My only concern is the stuff are cheap & good. The shop is call Dave & Dane & located on 2nd floor of Golden Mile. Only thing that I need to warn you is the stuff in the shop are pretty messy and you may need to get on your knees to dig for clothes place in big nylon bags so good luck & happy "shopping".

Partying @ Movida (10 October 2008)

We had our usual DF get-together session @ Movida on 10 Oct. As it was a pretty last minute session, we did not have it at Mono. Some of us had our dinner at Swensen before making our way there. This time, there were Eileen, Edy, Shirleigh, Cheryl, Sharol, Kai Ee, Sai Kit, Hui Lam & myself who were there. Many did not come since it was a last minute session. As usual, we had lots of drinks and I got a bit high since I dun hold my liquor that well. It was also a chance for some to catch up with one another. We also danced since music there is quite nice. It's good to have a session like this once a month so that we can get rid of some stress from work. Look forward to the next session soon.

Happy Birthday to Alicia

This post is specially dedicated to my ex-boss Alicia Chua. Her birthday is on 11 Oct and I wish her many blessings on this special day.

Anyway, a few of us decided to have dinner with our "Ah Bu" on 9 Oct to celebrate her birthday. We went to a russian restaurant located at Far East Shopping Centre. The food is a bit expensive but it's very good. We had lots fun catching up since we dun see each other that frequently now. It's definitely a wonderfull catch up session.

100th years, Life is Great

Yupz, the Company that I just join is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. I managed to join just in time to attend their Dinner & Dance on 4 Oct. The D&D is held at Shangri-La Hotel and theme was Black & Gold. I didn't have much black clothes so ended up buying a dress from GG5 for the event. I also had my hair styled in a salon since I didn't really know how to do it myself. We were there at about 6pm so that we can participate in the early bird draw. I was talking to a colleague and didn't realize that my number was picked for the early bird lucky draw. By the time I heard it, the MC already proceed to draw another winner. This is the 1st time I won something during a D&D and I actually missed it. So sad. Anyway the event was quite fun cause there were lots of performance by staff. My boss Wilym also performed in the pre-opening segment. Didn't realize that he could sing that well. I also took this chance to see if there were any cute guys in my Company. It's quite cool since everyone was looking so glamorous in black or gold. This is unlike my previous Company's D&D when you cannot really dress so glam since it's always some ridiculous theme. I had lots of fun during the table game cause my colleagues was quite a spontaneous bunch. It's been a pretty enjoyable night for me. This is the 2nd best D&D I've ever had. The best one is still the one in 2006.

28 September, an Unforgettable Day in my life

I will never forget this day last year. The day that I fell from heaven to hell. I knew all along that this day would come. Till now I can still remember very clearly what had happened. Now that I reflect on it, I feel that I was very stupid. After few months then I realize that the man was never true to me. He was just making use of me. When he realize that I was falling for him and was of no use, he decided to try to end everything with me. I didn't realize this until few months later. I am glad that I finally see through what this guy was up to. It was a lesson learnt for me. I now become a stronger person. I am no longer the girl I was a year ago. I've grown up alot in the past 1 year and become a better person. I wanna make that guy regret what he did to me and one day he will have to pay a price for it.

New Job, New Image

I've been spending alot on clothes recently. Reason being that I need to change my image now as I am no longer a secretary. Being an AM in Regional Biz Dev dept, I need to dress more professionally to gain the respect from our overseas colleagues. I've been getting alot of shirts & dresses which I dun normally wear last time. It's also now easier for me to fit into nice clothes since I've slim down from 54kg to 46.5kg. I've realized that clothes looked better on me now. I also think it's time I put away the Jenny with the cute dress sense and transform into the new Jenny with a more professional image but still got style. I've glad that most of my frens & ex-colleagues commented that I do look better now. At least all my efforts did pay off. Hope to continue to look good moving forward and maybe attract a new boyfriend soon.....

Formula 1 in SIngapore

Guess the first Grand Prix Formula 1 night race in Singapore would be over by the time I wrote this post. Alot of people were very excited since this is the first in Singapore. Many even bought their tickets when the it was launched few months back. I wanted to watch it too but the tickets were a bit too expensive for me so decided to give it a miss. Anyway it's gonna to be telecast on TV. I didn't really bothered about the race until it actually affect me. Due to the race, many roads were closed during that period and the bus stop that I dropped every morning was also closed. The bus had to stop one bus stop earlier and I had to walk 5mins more to reach office. What made it worse was many people had to take alternative routes to reach their office and that resulted in heavy traffic jams on ECP. For that week, I was late for at least twice. There was once I was late for almost an hour and worse of all, it was raining very heavily on that day. I was so damn pissed with this stupid event. I dun really care if the tickets were selling or how much tourist we attracted. The problem is this silly event is affecting the alot of us working in the town area. Dun understand why the Govt cannot do it in a better way. Hope they can learn from this year's experience and improve on it next year.

Happy Birthday to Libra Babies!

It's the time of the year again that we have the most number of birthday guys & gals. We have many Libras in our group. They are Cheryl, Eileen, Kit & Edy. Libras are known to be friendly people & makes alot of frens. Anyway due to the crisis in AIA, we weren't able to organise a birthday celebration for them. But we will still get them their birthday presents. Due to my super busy work schedules, I didn't manage to get them their presents on time so most of them only got it after their birthday. My sincere apologies to them for the delay. Anyway this post is specially dedicated to the Libra babies and I wanna take this opportunity to wish them Happy Birthday & may you stay cheerful & young always. Hope we can celebrate your birthdays together next year. Hmmn, how about a PT kit attire party next year for Sai Kit since it's his 30th birthday. So my dear DF frens out there, its time to start loosing some weight to fit into some nice PT kit. Hahahahaha.....

Jenny's Zoo Outing 21 September 2008

Can't remember when was the last time I visited the Zoo but it should be when my niece was around 2-3 years old. She is now 6 years old so I've never been there for the past 2-3 years. So few of us decided to get the Zoo Pass from the company and visit the Zoo. We got 2 passes but only 4 of us went. Those who went were Edy, Chi Ing, Kit & myself. I had a late night out the day before but still manage to pull myself of of bed for the outing. We went there after lunch. The Zoo has changed quite a bit since my last trip. Now they have made it so user-friendly that it's easy to move around & you won't miss out any animals. We saw more animals compared to the Night Safari. I remember seeing alot of monkeys in our Zoo. There were so many species. We had alot of fun looking at the animals. The only animal that I would stay away from is the snake. I've had phobia for snakes since young so will try stay away. After the Zoo, Kit brought us to Sin Ming Road to eat ice cream from our favourite shop call Ice Kimo. This time I ate the durian ice cream waffle. Here is a pix of it. Their ice cream is the best I've tasted so far in Singapore. If you dun believe me, go try it yourself. Here is their website: http://www.icekimo.com/index.asp
