Formula 1 in SIngapore

Guess the first Grand Prix Formula 1 night race in Singapore would be over by the time I wrote this post. Alot of people were very excited since this is the first in Singapore. Many even bought their tickets when the it was launched few months back. I wanted to watch it too but the tickets were a bit too expensive for me so decided to give it a miss. Anyway it's gonna to be telecast on TV. I didn't really bothered about the race until it actually affect me. Due to the race, many roads were closed during that period and the bus stop that I dropped every morning was also closed. The bus had to stop one bus stop earlier and I had to walk 5mins more to reach office. What made it worse was many people had to take alternative routes to reach their office and that resulted in heavy traffic jams on ECP. For that week, I was late for at least twice. There was once I was late for almost an hour and worse of all, it was raining very heavily on that day. I was so damn pissed with this stupid event. I dun really care if the tickets were selling or how much tourist we attracted. The problem is this silly event is affecting the alot of us working in the town area. Dun understand why the Govt cannot do it in a better way. Hope they can learn from this year's experience and improve on it next year.
