Friends

Hmmn, I wonder how would you define what do you call a friend? Is it someone you know? Or is it someone whom you can trust? Every individual would have different definitions for friend. I use to consider anyone whom I know as a friend. However as time goes by, I realize a friend is someone whom you can depend on and one who will not betray you. They must be someone you can trust. I think we need to categorize people whom we know. We need to be careful when selecting friends.
Why am I suddenly so concious about this? I guess it's because along the way, I've been betrayed by many "friends". I've got friends who don't trust me, who bitched about me behind my back, who stab me behind my back, who look down on me, who don't understand me & many many more other stuff. I feel that as a friend, these things should not happen. You should not harm a person whom you treat as a real friend. If you feel that your friend is wrong in any way, you should tell your friend and not the whole world except him/her. You should also trust your friend no matter what other people say about him/her. If there are no trust between friends, then that is not a true friendship.
Friends are those who are there for you when you need them. Friends are those who give good advice & not those who simply support or agree with all your foolish actions. Friends are those who you need not meet all the time but still care for you. Friends are those who shows true concern & not those just trying to be nice on the surface.
I am disappointed that I've lost some friends along the way but I guess it's lesson learnt. I've learnt not to trust everyone I know & to differentiate who are my true friends. However, that does not mean I do not keep in contact with people whom I do not categorize as my friends. They are still considered as acquintances. There is just one thing they won't get from me, that is TRUST. I will never trust people whom I don't consider as friends. And I give my friends 3 chances to betray my trust. Once you've exceeded your chances, then I shall no longer consider you as a friend.
I am not trying to be funny but I just feel that I should be careful cause it does hurt alot when you realize a friend has betrayed or abandoned you.

To me, a true friendship is when you don't look around before changing clothes in your extreme privacy either with lights off or on.
