Protecting Myself

I am learning to protect myself. I've been hurt badly 2 years ago and at the same time I've also hurt another person. I guess people learn from their mistakes and I am learning from mine. Done alot of stupid things back then and I am not going to repeat the same mistake again. I am standing at a cross junction now and I have to be careful with the path I take. A wrong step can cause me to fall and break into pieces again. Forgive me if you find my behaviours or actions odd but these are just to protect myself. I know some of you may start to think that it's probably gonna to do with this Exxx guy but please believe me, I have absolutely no feelings for him now. I do admit that there was a bit of crush initially but that was long over. I am a person who believes in developing the feelings and not love at first sight. I am ok with him as a friend but nothing more. The most important thing now is to prevent myself from being hurt badly cause it took me a long time to stand on my feet again.
