Shrek & Princess Fiona

Today, let me share with you a story:
Once upon a time, there lived a guy call Shrek. One day, he fell in love with Princess Fiona. With the help of their friends, he managed to win the love of Princess Fiona. Ever since they were together, Shrek & Princess Fiona lived in a world of their own. They were both busy involving in each other’s life & family. They even forget those friends who spent time, effort & money trying to bring them together. Shrek is a pretty self-centered person. As for Princess Fiona, she is a kind, nice & warm girl with many friends. Ever since she fell in love with Shrek, some friends decided to stay away from her because they do not know how to appreciate the character of Shrek. They became such a loving couple who cannot seem to able to live without each other. Princess Fiona tried influencing Shrek to become a better person but in the end, it was Princess Fiona who was influenced. She has now also become a self-centered person. She remained “silent” to all the “wrong” things that Shrek say or do. Maybe in her eyes, everything he had done is correct and what others do or say are wrong. I think we may not understand the greatness of their love. Just like most fairytales, they are going to live happily ever after in the world of their own.
However, if one day their castle is being attacked and they need to call their allied friends for help, think their friends may not be keen to help since they had given their friends a not so caring but care only when there is a need attitude.
Well, the morale of this story is to tell you that despite Love being the most wonderful thing on earth, there are many other things that are also important in life. One important factor is Friendship. There is a Chinese saying: “在家靠父母, 在外靠朋友”. I have always believed in this saying. You never know when you are gonna need your friends so don’t treat them like dirt especially those who has helped you before. Be grateful and start to treasure your friends around you.
