We have finally asher into the Rat year. This year we have 4 days break cause Chinese New Year falls on Thurs & Fri and this is how I spent my 4 days break:
As usual, the first day of Chinese New Year is to be spent at home waiting for my brother & family to come over. I slept at about 4.30am on the eve and nearly couldn't wake up to help my mom prepare lunch. Lunch is steamboat as usual. Spent the afternoon entertaining my niece & nephew. Slept early that night since I be going out the next day.
On the second day, I met up with Eileen, YY, Kai Ee & Sharol to watch Kung Fu Dunk, movie starring Jay Chou. We continue with dinner and partying at Zouk. Cheryl joined us at Zouk cause she got other appointments before that. We were at Zouk at about 9pm and there wasn't much crowd. People start packing in at about 11pm. We spent most of our time at Phuture cause we prefer the music there. We also went over to Velvet & Zouk to dance. YY & Eileen left earlier as they were tired. Me, Sharol, Cheryl & Kai Ee stayed on to party. We danced & drink till about 330pm. I was so tired & sleepy by the time we left. This is not a bad way to spend your new year.
Today, my mom invited Abby & family and 2 of her frens to come our place so need to wake up early to help prepare food. Didn't manage to sleep late although I slept at 5.30am last night. Spent the whole day entertaining my frens. My parents are still chatting with their frens when I am writing this blog. Got to sleep early tonight cause got full day event tomorrow.
For the fourth day, I have already planned to watch movie CJ7 with Sharol and then proceed with ktv singing with Sharol, YY & Kai Ee. We need to go practise our singing before the next DF session.
Overall the 4 days of holidays are quite well spent although its not as fruitful as some of my frens who had lots of places to visit and also manage to win some money through gambling. I have yet to have the chance to gamble this year. I also hope to be able to win some money this year.
Live each day, as if there is no tomorrow. Be Happy. Give Thanks. Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is mystery, Today is a GIFT.
